Chapter 45-Alise of Black Girl Travel Slay

Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with Alise.

In this chapter, Alise shares how she merged her love of travel with her studies by enrolling in travel abroad programs, and she gives tips on how to succeed to students who are interested in going that route. Alise talks about how her parents gave her the tools to build her mindset and how she’s been handling the changes with the virus, including having to reschedule a group trip she’s been coordinating. She also tells us about her career aspirations and her thoughts on the dating scene. Alise describes the journey of building her brand Black Girl Travel Slay, and how she’s had to deal with some online backlash from her community. She gets into her financial health being apart of her self-care, and has stories for days about her travels. Like that time she had a layover in Shanghai with a delayed flight, and had an altercation with a taxi driver, or that time she considered staying at an airport employees place instead of sleeping at the airport. Alise has also been intentional enough in her travels to mix traveling with studying her Muslim faith, and practicing Arabic.
