Chapter 72-Yasmin of Black Girl Nomads

Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with Yasmin.

In this chapter, Yasmin tells us about her education background in International Politics, and Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy. She describes for us what it was like working in Ghana with NGO’s to address gender based violence, female genital mutilation, and sexual and reproductive health. Yasmin believes that the key to empowering change within the diaspora in Africa is collaboration, and has a vision for Africa to be seen beyond the colonial influence and the white gaze. She’s taken her travel love, experience, and vision to create Black Girl Nomads, a travel tour company focused on providing curated travel experiences for Black women. Yasmin also shares with us her influences, how she gets through challenges, and her contagious laughter.

Catch up with Yasmin on Instagram or on her blog where she shares her travel journals, tips, and you can check out her Black Girl Nomad Girls trips.
