Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with JoAnna.
In this chapter, JoAnna talks about her roots in Trinidad & Tabago and how she navigated life in New York growing up. She says the women in her family are very independent and that combined with being the sixth of seven children, makes her cherish solo travel.
JoAnna experienced death at the age of five and went silent for a while. She tells us what happened, and how that impacted her at such a young age. While her college experience wasn’t all that, she went on to get her master’s degree and expand her expertise in content creation, including video and photography, and her tech skills in user experience. She was hesitant to apply to the program and shares with us why.
Though JoAnna has had her blog for almost ten years, she’s had no desire to “quit her job and travel the world.” She believes in creating content to please herself and explains why she’s careful of her relationship with social media. She’s also made opportunities for herself using her interests and her blog and gives us some tips on how she researched to get on PR Lists for various brands.
JoAnna is everywhere, so connect with her where you like to get down website, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, or YouTube. And her Black Travel Bloggers account.
