Chapter 87-Heather of Globetrotting Mama

Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with Heather.

In this chapter, Heather shares her love for traveling around Canada, growing up wanting to be a writer, applying for law school on a dare, and her journey from practicing law to coming back home to her passion for writing. She gets into exactly what helped sustain her though her challenges in her journey, gives you tips for stepping into the thing that calls you, and how to build your support network. Heather and her family figured out a way to globe trot for a year when her boys were just 6 and 8 years old, and says that year solidified their family unit in very impactful ways, that have even helped them through this pandemic. She’s also an advocate for women creating space for themselves, and offers a different perspective around traveling during the pandemic. Heather sees stories everywhere she goes, and gives us tips on how to tell a good story.

Heather would love for you to read her words and share them with a friend. Since she writes for so many publications, connect with her on social so you don’t miss a sentence Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Heather paints a picture with lyrics to a song by Gregory Porter, that’s perfect Sunday listening. You can find it on the Guest Favorites from the Black Women Travel Podcast playlist on Spotify
