Chapter 26-Orion of The Black Travel Box

Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with Orion.

In this chapter, Orion talks about being from the South Side of Chicago and how she got into travel. She shares how travel has allowed her to put her Blackness down, versus having to wear it all the time in America. She also talks about how she sees American politics playing out in the future. Orion shares a bit about her corporate experience having a man tell her she should whisper so she didn’t intimidate others, and she talks about the process of building her startup and how lack of sleep affected her entrepreneur journey. We talked about Ireland and how Orion likes to explore the places she goes. She also gets into the mindset she cultivates to keep her ready for opportunities, and how staying true to her values has made all the difference in her quality of life.

Orion loves speaking with people, so connect with her on Twitter, or Instagram. Also check out The Black Travel Box website or Instagram.

This is a quote that Orion uses to keep her values top of mind:

I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.
