Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with Christine.
In this chapter, Christine shares with us how the women in her family uplift and keep her, and how the life and death of her aunt impacted her life trajectory. She talks about the breakneck speed, and/or life of productivity she sees Black women living, and that looking back, she’d actually been experiencing burnout for years without the language to identify it. When her plans after law school fell through, Christine reluctantly decided to walk the Camino de Santiago in Spain. She says that while that pilgrimage wasn’t a dream experience of hers, it ended up being just what she needed. Christine believes in the power of community, of people embracing their talents, and discusses how she is cultivating her creative side, and wants you to know you can make a living off of your creativity.
